Finance Minister Yassine Jaber emphasized the role of youth and the new generation in the revitalization effort the government is determined to undertake, calling for "opening the door wide for university graduates and specialists to maximize their potential and facilitating their integration into the reform effort in public administrations and institutions, given their academic qualifications."
Minister Jaber added: "The Ministry of Finance will be among the first entities to make room for their expertise and talents," calling for "balanced representation in the upcoming elections, whether at the local authority level through the municipal elections scheduled for the next few months, or through the parliamentary elections next spring."
During his reception of Lebanese University President Professor Bassam Badran, Jaber expressed "full support for the Lebanese University in strengthening its role as a national institution that brings together the new generation. This is achieved by ensuring the continued provision of all necessary resources to restore it to its status as the premier destination for students seeking the specializations they aspire to, which serve growth plans at all levels and remain among the most prestigious universities."
