The Lebanese Press Editors Syndicate mourned the passing of its member, Hoda Chedid, who died after a long battle with illness.
In a statement, the Syndicate expressed deep sadness over her loss, highlighting the impact it had on the media community both in Lebanon and internationally.
Hoda passed away shortly after being honored by the Lebanese President and First Lady during a special ceremony at the Presidential Palace for International Women's Day, which marked her final public appearance.
Joseph Kossaifi, the head of the Syndicate, wrote in her eulogy: "This was her fate. She succumbed to death after a long struggle with illness, facing it not only with medicine but with faith, prayer, and a love for life. She found hope in every new pain, covering it with a smile even in her darkest moments."
He praised Hoda as a talented, courageous, and dedicated journalist who faced her challenges with strength, determination, and grace.
