President of the Republic Aoun monitored the security situation along the northern-eastern border and received a series of calls from Army Commander General Rodolph Haykal, who briefed him on the measures being taken to restore calm and stability in the region.
The president emphasized the importance of securing a ceasefire, halting attacks, and maintaining border control in the villages along the frontier.
President Aoun also met with Polish Ambassador to Lebanon Aleksandra Bukowska-McCabe with whom he discussed the best means to enhance and develop relations between the two countries across various sectors. The meeting also included a broad discussion on the general situation in Lebanon and current regional developments.
The President of the Republic then met with the British retired army officer, Lieutenant General Sir Graeme Lamb, and retired Colonel Giles Taylor.
The discussion reportedly touched on the situation in the region in light of the current developments.
President Aoun also received at Baabda palace, Monaco's Consul in Lebanon, Sheikh Bechara El Khoury, who conveyed a message from Prince Albert II of Monaco congratulating him on his election as President of the Republic and inviting him to visit Monaco.
President Aoun later received a delegation from the Foundation for the Preservation of the Heritage of Charles de Gaulle in Lebanon, led by its head George Nour.
Speaking on behalf of the delegation, Nour outlined the Foundation’s main goals, including preserving General de Gaulle's legacy and heritage in Lebanon.
