MP Bilal Abdallah, member of the Democratic Gathering bloc visited Minister of Public Works Fayez Rasamny, to congratulate him on his new responsibilities.
Discussions between both men reportedly covered general developments, public transport needs, and airport conditions.
According to Abdallah’s media office, the lawmaker raised concerns about the condition of the main road linking Jezzine to Iqlim al-Kharroub near the town of Khraybet Bisri.
Abdallah stressed the urgency of rehabilitating and maintaining the road, as well as constructing a retaining wall above the Bisri River to prevent its collapse. Minister Rasamny instructed the relevant departments within the ministry to address the issue.
The meeting also touched on the completion of the governmental buildings complex in Shheem, a project initiated by former MP Mohammad Hajjar. The complex aims to facilitate administrative services for residents of Iqlim al-Kharroub and resolve issues related to office rentals and disputes.
