A handover ceremony took place at the Ministry of Industry, where former Minister George Boujikian, officially passed on the baton to new Minister Joe Issa Khoury.
The event was attended by key figures including ministry directors, the Lebanese Standards and Metrology Institute, the Industrial Research Institute, the Lebanese Industrialists Association, and Boujikian’s advisors.
Minister Khoury vowed to revitalize Lebanon's industrial sector, emphasizing its role in creating jobs, boosting exports, and preventing emigration. He also highlighted the importance of "Made in Lebanon" as a national symbol of quality.
In his farewell speech, Boujikian reflected on his tenure, noting the challenges faced and stressing the collaborative efforts that led to the ministry’s successes. He further expressed pride in the resilience of Lebanon’s industrialists and their commitment to the country's economy.
