Chairman and General Manager of the Housing Bank Antoine Habib met with Parliament Speaker Nabih Berri in Ain El Tineh, thanking him for reopening Beirut’s banking district, a move he deemed crucial for the capital’s economy.
Habib also briefed Berri on his recent visit to Doha, where he met with Qatari officials to explore housing loan options for low- and middle-income Lebanese, as well as reconstruction financing.
Habib noted that Qatar was considering offering subsidized loans with extended grace periods, and that further discussions will take place during his upcoming visit to Doha later this month.
