Caretaker Minister of Information Ziad Makary received Gabon’s Minister of Tourism and Handicrafts, Pascal Ogowe Siffon, accompanied by the Chairman of Lancaster Hotels, Wissam Ali Ashour.
Following the meeting, Minister Siffon stated, “I bring a message from the President of Gabon to Lebanese President Joseph Aoun, inviting him to visit our country, where the Lebanese community is deeply rooted. Through this message, we hope to establish frameworks for Lebanese investments in Gabon. I will also take this opportunity to meet with several Lebanese ministers, including the Minister of Tourism and the Minister of Transport, with whom I discussed this morning the possibility of opening a direct flight route between Beirut and Libreville. I am delighted to be in Lebanon, a wonderful country, and we look forward to extending our hospitality to the Lebanese community, which plays a significant role in Gabon.”
After the meeting, Makary accompanied the visiting minister to the Ministry of Tourism, where they met with Caretaker Minister of Tourism, Walid Nassar.
