The spokesperson for the Israeli Defense Forces, Avichay Adraee, wrote the following on X:
"To the residents of southern Lebanon, as you know, the Israeli army has recently redeployed to various positions in southern Lebanon, in accordance with the ceasefire agreement, with the aim of enabling the gradual deployment of the Lebanese army and dismantling and removing Hezbollah and its infrastructure from southern Lebanon.
I remind you that the agreement's period has been extended, and the IDF forces remain deployed on the ground, with the deployment process happening gradually. In some sectors, it is delayed and requires more time to ensure that Hezbollah cannot re-establish its military presence.
As usual, Hezbollah puts its narrow interests above those of the Lebanese state and tries to incite the situation through its rhetoric, despite being the main cause of the destruction in the south.
In the near future, we will continue with this approach and will keep you informed about the areas that can be returned to. In the meantime, we ask you to wait, and do not allow Hezbollah to return and exploit you in an attempt to cover up the destructive consequences of its irresponsible decisions at the expense of Lebanon's security.
Until further notice, all previously issued instructions remain in effect."
Adraee to the southerners: We urge you to wait
