MP Gebran Bassil said, following the Strong Lebanon bloc’s meeting with Prime Minister-designate Nawaf Salam at the parliament, that “there is chance for a new balance in the country and for real partnership and reform.”
“We must rally around the PM-designate and President Joseph Aoun,” he stressed.
“We do not accept the exclusion or marginalization of anybody,” he added.
“We did not ask the Prime Minister for anything regarding the government, and we are ready to help. We believe that the government must be formed of specialists and represent all the parliamentary forces,” he said.
