MP George Adwan addressed the Parliament Speaker Nabih Berri, saying: "I hope Berri will separate his role as Speaker of the Parliament from his presidency of the Amal Movement, and with all due respect, I wish he had attended the consultations today."
Adwan also called on the Shiite duo to "participate in the government, and if they do not wish to do so, it is their right, but they should make space for other Shiites," adding, "No one can close the Parliament, as it belongs to all MPs and all blocs."
Adwan's statement came after a meeting between the Strong Republic bloc and the Prime Minister-designate Nawaf Salam, in the Parliament during the non-binding parliamentary consultations.
