Prime Minister-designate, Judge Nawaf Salam, visited former Prime Minister Fouad Siniora, as part of his visits to former prime ministers.
In the wake of the meeting, PM-designate Salam thanked Premier Siniora for sharing his extensive experience and hailed his optimism.
Siniora, in turn, considered that the designation of Premier Salam is "a step towards restructuring constitutional institutions," stressing that "Lebanon faces challenges and crises that can only be overcome through national unity."
The former PM also said that "the current period requires a firm will and courage in decision-making and the ability to lead".
