Units of the Lebanese Army reopened the Baddawi International Road, which had been blocked in both directions by citizens using burning tires near the Akouma fuel station. The protest was sparked by the arrest of a local resident by security forces.
The closure caused severe traffic congestion, but the situation was later resolved, and traffic returned to normal.
