Parliament Speaker Nabih Berri issued a statement refuting claims that Israeli actions post-ceasefire align with the agreement's terms, condemning Israeli aggression, especially demolishing homes in Lebanese border villages, air raids on Lebanese territories, and the latest strikes in Hawsh al-Sayyid Ali (Hermel) and Jdeidet Marjeyoun, which resulted in casualties.
Berri emphasized these actions as blatant breaches of the ceasefire agreement, effective since 4:00 am on November 27, 2024, to which Lebanon fully adheres.
The Parliament Speaker questioned the silence of the technical committee tasked with monitoring the agreement, highlighting over 54 Israeli violations while Lebanon and its resistance remain committed to their pledges.
Berri finally called on the monitoring committee to urgently enforce Israeli compliance, halt violations, and ensure a withdrawal from occupied Lebanese territories as a priority.
