Caretaker Minister of Education Abbas Halabi extended heartfelt tribute to the 62 members of the educational community who lost their lives during the Israeli aggression on Lebanon.
In his statement, Halabi praised their dedication to shaping generations on the school benches, describing their sacrifice as "a martyrdom for the nation."
The minister expressed his deepest condolences to their families, colleagues, schools, and students, praying for divine mercy for their souls. He called on future generations to draw inspiration from their lives, emphasizing their example of selflessness, patriotism, and commitment to the values of education and ethics.
“These educators offered their lives in defense of the mission of education and the national and moral values they stood for, leaving a legacy of sacrifice and patriotism,” Halabi stated.
