Parliament Speaker Nabih Berri met with former Deputy Speaker Elie Ferzli at his office in Ain el-Tineh, with whom they discussed the latest political developments.
In separate communications, Berri received a message from President of the Canadian Senate, Raymonde Gagné, and phone calls of congratulations from several prominent figures, including Grand Mufti of the Republic Sheikh Abdel-Latif Derian, Deputy Head of the Supreme Shiite Islamic Council, Sheikh Ali Khateeb, Druze spiritual leader, Sheikh Sami Abou Al-Mouna, and others.
The calls praised Berri’s efforts in achieving a ceasefire and halting Israeli aggression against Lebanon.
