Caretaker Prime Minister Najib Mikati has received an invitation from King Salman bin Abdulaziz of Saudi Arabia to participate in the upcoming Arab-Islamic joint summit scheduled for November 11 in Riyadh.
The invitation was delivered by the Saudi Ambassador to Lebanon, Walid Bukhari.
The invitation emphasized the urgency of the summit, stating: "In light of the escalating crisis faced by our brothers in the State of Palestine, and the expansion of the conflict to include the Lebanese Republic, alongside the regional repercussions, the Kingdom intends to host an extraordinary joint Arab-Islamic follow-up summit in Riyadh.
We are pleased to invite Your Excellency to participate in this summit, reaffirming Arab and Islamic solidarity to halt the Israeli aggression and push for a just resolution to the Palestinian cause, ensuring the right of the Palestinian people to establish their independent state with East Jerusalem as its capital. We are confident that Your Excellency’s participation will significantly contribute to the success of the summit and the achievement of its desired outcomes."
