King Abdullah II of Jordan received the caretaker Prime Minister Najib Mikati today at the Al Husseiniya Palace, where they discussed the current situation in Lebanon and the Israeli aggression in the south.
The meeting was attended by Crown Prince Hussein bin Abdullah II, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs and Expatriates Ayman Safadi, and the King's Office Director Engineer Alaa Batayneh.
During the meeting, King Abdullah affirmed Jordan's unwavering support for Lebanon and its brotherly people, emphasizing the importance of Lebanon's sovereignty, security, and stability.
He stressed the Kingdom's readiness to provide assistance to the Lebanese brothers to alleviate their suffering due to the ongoing war.
The King stated, "Jordan is making every effort in coordination with Arab brothers and active countries to stop the Israeli war on Lebanon."
He warned against the continuation and expansion of Israeli aggression on Lebanon, which could lead the region into a large-scale regional war with significant costs for everyone.
For his part, Prime Minister Mikati expressed his appreciation to His Majesty the King for Jordan's support for Lebanon at all stages, particularly the efforts being made to halt the Israeli aggression against Lebanon and its people.
He also valued the support provided by the Kingdom through the air bridge between Amman and Beirut to aid the displaced due to the Israeli war on Lebanon.
