Deputy Secretary-General of Hezbollah Naim Qassem emphasized, "We have lost our leader, Secretary-General Nasrallah, who remained on the frontlines and did not leave until the moment of his martyrdomI urge the fighters to remember that His Eminence is always with us, now and forever."
He added, denying circulating reports, "Contrary to the enemy's claims, there was no meeting of 20 leaders," stressing that "Israel is committing massacres against the innocent, targeting everyone from children to women and the elderly, with the United States complicit in these atrocities."
Qassem continued, "All the great sacrifices we've made, from the pagers and wireless devices to the martyrdom of our leaders and the Secretary-General, would shake armies, organizations, and nations, yet, we persevered, and we will always keep goingWe will continue with the path led by Secretary-General Nasrallah, and Hezbollah remains committed to its fight; the command and control system, along with our fighters, will proceed with the same precision, and everyone is present on the battlefield."
He also pointed out that "Despite the loss of several leaders and the Secretary-General, along with the assaults on civilians, and attempts to destabilize our situation, our beliefs will not budge one inch, and the Islamic Resistance will continue to confront the Israeli enemy in support of Palestine and in defense of Lebanon and its people." He affirmed, "What we are doing is the bare minimum as part of a plan to continue the battle, based on our assessments and drawn plans, and what the battlefield requires. We know that the battle may be long, and our options remain flexible."
Qassem asserted, "We are ready if the Israelis decide to engage on the ground. The resistance forces are prepared for ground confrontation, and we are confident that the enemy will not achieve its objectives, and we will emerge victorious from this battle. We are doing everything we can to address the assassinations of ours leader by having alternative ones, and Israel will not be able to undermine our military capabilities. What their media says is a 'dream they will never achieve.' Our strength is solid and significant, and the enemy is panicking due to its inability to reach these capabilities."
He further stressed, "The great people who have stood firm during difficult times and were not shaken by assaults will not falter now, and we are confident of that." He pointed out, "We are in one boat, and we will win as we did in 2006."
Qassem noted, "We will maintain the leadership and management of the confrontation in line with the party's structure, as we have deputies for each leader, and we are committed to selecting a new Secretary-General at the earliest opportunity, following the established selection process. The choices will be straightforward because they are clear, and we are united. What is happening now is under regular and natural follow-up," expressing gratitude to the government, political forces, civil associations, towns, municipalities, and religious centers.
He concluded, "Rest assured, God willing, victory is on our side, and we only need some patience. As for our preparations, we have made all the necessary arrangements."
