Caretaker Prime Minister Najib Mikati received a phone call from Canadian Prime Minister Justin Trudeau who expressed his solidarity with Lebanon and voiced deep concern over the ongoing clashes that are targeting civilians.
Trudeau emphasized the necessity of de-escalation and a return to peaceful resolutions.
Additionally, Mikati spoke with Iranian Vice President Mohammad Reza Aref who condemned the Israeli assaults on residential areas in Lebanon, reinforcing international criticism of the violence affecting the Lebanese population.
