Minister of Education and Higher Education Abbas Halabi announced that, due to the continuation of the circumstances that necessitated the closure of educational, vocational, and university institutions in specific areas and the suspension of classes in others, the closure of schools, secondary schools, institutes, and public and private vocational schools will be extended until the end of this week in the southern governorates, Nabatieh, Bekaa, Baalbek-Hermel, and Dahieh. The suspension of classes will also be extended in the governorates of Beirut, Mount Lebanon, the North, and Akkar, and will include the Lebanese University and private higher education institutions in all Lebanese regions until the end of this current week. The minister urged all officials in charge of educational and university institutions to follow the ministry's statements in this regard.
