National Defense Minister Maurice Sleem strongly condemned the Israeli terrorist attack on Lebanon involving the detonation of portable pager devices.
Sleem described the incident as a war crime and a blatant violation of international humanitarian law, which he accuses the Israeli military of persistently breaching.
Minister Sleem emphasized that the current situation in Lebanon necessitates the highest levels of solidarity and cooperation to confront significant challenges and dangers.
In a separate engagement, Minister Sleem met with Hilde Haraldstad, the newly appointed Norwegian Ambassador to Lebanon, in a courtesy visit marking her assumption of diplomatic duties.
The meeting provided an opportunity to discuss the situation and developments in Lebanon and the region, as well as to review bilateral relations between Lebanon and Norway.
