Caretaker Minister of Foreign Affairs and Emigrants Abdallah Bou Habib received Swiss Ambassador to Lebanon Marion Weichelt, with whom he discussed the situation in southern Lebanon and the broad region.
Minister Bou Habib thanked Switzerland for its supportive position for Lebanon in the Security Council, where it holds the position of a non-permanent member, and its vote in favor of the resolution extending UNIFIL’s mandate for another year, which was approved unanimously by the UNSC.
On the other hand, Bou Habib received in his office the Acting Chargé d'Affaires of the Iraqi Embassy in Lebanon, Counselor Nada Karim Majoul, who came on a courtesy visit.
Discussions between the pair reportedly touched on the course of the growing and developing Lebanese-Iraqi relations, as well as ways to advance them to achieve the interests of the two brotherly countries and peoples.
Minister Bou Habib thanked Iraq for its constant support for Lebanon and assistance to help it overcome the difficult conditions it is going through.
