The official spokesman of the Iraqi government, Bassem Al-Awadi, denied "the rumors about Iraq stopping the supply of fuel to Lebanon.”
“The delay occurred for technical and logistical reasons related to transportation and shipping,” Al-Awadi indicated.
Al-Awadi told the Iraqi News Agency (INA), "Iraq is committed to the agreement signed between Baghdad and Beirut, and the most important and sincere thing is the fraternal, national and humanitarian commitment of the Iraqi government and people towards our brothers in Lebanon in the current difficult times."
He confirmed that "the new shipment will be loaded in the coming days."
