Caretaker Minister of Agriculture Abbas Hajj Hassan attended the inauguration of Iran's new president Massoud Bazkeshian in Tehran.
During his visit, Hajj Hassan held meetings with Iranian officials and delegates from various countries, including Iraq, Saudi Arabia, Sudan, Syria, and Egypt.
Hajj Hassan focused on the ongoing Israeli aggression against Lebanon, stating, "Lebanon has faced continuous attacks from the Israeli enemy for the past 10 months, indiscriminately targeting civilians, infrastructure, and nature, with over 1,015 incidents involving prohibited phosphorus."
Moreover, Hajj Hassan emphasized Lebanon's efforts to seek justice through the United Nations but underscored the necessity of resistance.
Commenting on the recent attack on Beirut's southern suburbs, Hajj Hassan noted, "The situation is very sensitive, and we must heed the words of Speaker Nabih Berri: our strength lies in unity among Lebanese citizens, both domestically and abroad, and in defending our land, sovereignty, and resources by all legal means."
