Caretaker Prime Minister Najib Mikati at the Grand Serail French Ambassador to Lebanon Herve Magro.
"We discussed the latest developments and we expressed our concerns over the current situation that is heading towards escalation," said the diplomat following the meeting.
"We are unfortunately in a situation that we have always cautioned against, and we have always called the concerned sides to avoid escalation," he added. "We will pursue our efforts; we have no reasons to discontinue our pacification efforts," he concluded.
