The Ministry of Finance's media office on Tuesday issued a statement refuting a false report published by a local newspaper claiming that Acting Finance Minister Youssef Khalil had resigned.
The media office reassured the public that Minister Khalil continues his daily work at the ministry and is in good health.
“Minister Khalil remains fully engaged in the critical task of preparing the 2025 budget, committed to submitting it on schedule,” the statement read, emphasizing that Minister Khalil is not considering resignation at this crucial time.
