The Ministry of Foreign Affairs condemned, in a statement, the recent massacre committed by Israel in the Nuseirat camp in the Gaza Strip, which claimed the lives of hundreds of martyrs and left numerous others wounded, two days after it targeted an UNRWA school housing displaced Palestinians in the same camp, where dozens of citizens were martyred, and others were injured, most of them women, children and the elderly.
The Foreign Ministry considered that "these attacks constitute a serious and clear violation of international humanitarian law and international legitimacy resolutions, which prolongs this crisis and undermines any chance for a just and comprehensive solution that allows the establishment of an independent Palestinian state, based on international legitimacy resolutions, the Arab Peace Initiative, and the two-state solution."
The Ministry called on the international community and the United Nations to “move immediately and decisively to stop these massacres and attacks, put an end to this humanitarian catastrophe, and put pressure on Israel to comply with the relevant international legitimacy resolutions and international humanitarian law.”
