A closed-door meeting has commenced at the Patriarchal Seat in Bkerke to discuss the Syrian refugee crisis in Lebanon.
The meeting is organized by the Maronite Center for Research and Documentation under the presidency of Maronite Patriarch Cardinal Bechara Boutros Rahi.
It is attended by the Caretaker Minister of Interior Bassam Mawlawi, representing Caretaker Prime Minister Najib Mikati, Caretaker Minister of Social Affairs Hector Hajjar, Caretaker Minister of Displaced Issam Charafeddine, Caretaker Justice Minister Henry Khoury, Caretaker Minister of Education Abbas Halabi, Lebanese Army Commander, General Joseph Aoun, MP Neemat Frem, representatives of the security agencies' leaders, a number of governors, Patriarchal Vicar General, Archbishop Samir Mazloum, members of the advisory, legal, and constitutional committees at the Patriarchal Seat, and several experts in the Syrian refugee file.
