Caretaker Prime Minister Najib Mikati reiterated from the northern city of Tripoli that “the government is continuing its diplomatic contacts internationally and in the Arab world to stop the Israeli aggression against Lebanon,” noting that “the outcome of these contacts so far appear to be positive, without overlooking a basic matter, namely that there can be no betting on any positive position or guarantee provided by the Israeli enemy."
Caretaker Premier Mikati was speaking before his visitors who called on him in the northern city of Tripoli.
Mikati held in Tripoli a series of meetings to follow up on the city’s affairs and demands.
Mikati also inspected the Al-Azm Healthcare and Social Center in Bab Al-Ramel, stressing his keenness on following up on the affairs of Tripoli and the concerns of its people.
The PM also received popular delegations from the regions of Tripoli who well-wished him on the occasion of the holy month of Ramadan.
Afterwards, Mikati performed the Friday prayer at Al-Azm Mosque in the Bab Al-Ramel area.
