President of the Republic, General Michel Aoun, received Prime Minister Najib Mikati on Friday afternoon at Baabda Palace.
General affairs and the results of the talks held by Prime Minister Mikati during his visit to the Arab Republic of Egypt were discussed.
The meeting also addressed the economic and living conditions, especially after the circular issued by the Governor of the Lebanese Central Bank and its negative repercussions, especially since Lebanon entered the stage of negotiation with the International Monetary Fund.
The failure of the Cabinet to convene, which negatively affects government work, the performance of ministries and public administrations, and the interests of citizens, especially the conditions of public sector employees and the issues of increasing the daily transportation allowance and the monthly assistance for employees to meet the current living conditions were also deliberated.
Upon leaving Baabda Palace, PM Mikati did not make any statement.
