Watch: Latakia welcomes al-Sharaa

The President of the Syrian Transitional Government, Ahmad al-Sharaa, arrived in the city of Latakia in the northwest of the country. This is al-Sharaa's first visit to Latakia since he assumed the position of Prime Minister of the transitional government.

Videos circulating on social media captured his convoy arriving at Sheikh Dahir Square in the city center, with large crowds gathering to welcome him.
