A powerful explosion rocked a shopping center in the Xitun District of Taichung, Taiwan, resulting in one death and nine injuries, including two in critical condition.
According to the Taichung Fire Department, the explosion appears to have occurred on the 12th floor of the building.
Rescue teams confirmed the death of a man, while a woman with no signs of life was transported to the hospital. Several others were injured, and authorities activated the mass casualty response protocol.
Local police and fire services are still conducting investigations to determine the exact cause of the incident.
