Cyprus has contributed to delivering humanitarian aid to the Gaza Strip through a newly established sea corridor and has served as a transit point for evacuating foreign nationals from conflict areas in the Middle East.
Relations between Cyprus and the United States have improved in recent years, especially following the election of Cypriot President Nikos Christodoulides in 2023, who confirmed Cyprus' commitment to expanding defense relations with the US.
