The US secretary of state told reporters in South Korea that Washington wants to see a ceasefire deal in Gaza concluded and the captives brought out in the next two weeks.
“We very much want to bring this over the finish line in the next two weeks, the time we have remaining,” Blinken said, when asked whether a ceasefire deal was close.
As we’ve been reporting, the Biden administration is renewing its efforts for a ceasefire deal before US President-elect Donald Trump takes office on January 20.
