Palestinian Ambassador to the United Nations Riyad Mansour broke down in tears while reading a letter written by a doctor from the organization "Doctors Without Borders," named Mahmoud Abu Najila, at the Al-Awda Hospital in the Gaza Strip, before he was killed in an Israeli airstrike in November 2023.
Mansour said that Abu Najila wrote on the whiteboard, where surgical operations were being planned at the hospital: "Whoever stays until the end will tell the story. We did what we could, remember us."
