The martial law forces in South Korea attempted to breach the parliament building, but citizens gathered at the entrance, including lawmakers, prevented the forces from entering the building.
Clashes and scuffles broke out between civilians and security personnel as they tried to prevent entry into the parliament.
Later, YTN TV reported that the military succeeded in entering the South Korean parliament building through a window.
This comes after South Korean President Yoon Suk-yeol declared a state of emergency martial law, accusing the opposition in the country of controlling the parliament, sympathizing with North Korea, and obstructing the government's operations.
