The head of Israeli army’s Northern Command, Major General Uri Gordin, has been quoted by Israeli media as saying that “strong strikes on Hezbollah’s firing systems have significantly reduced its combat capability”.
He said he did not expect the Lebanese armed group to return to the border areas, but “if they make a mistake, it will be a big mistake, and we are prepared to return to the forward attack and return to combat”.
