Pope Francis stated that both U.S. presidential candidates are "against life," pointing to Donald Trump's anti-immigration policies and Kamala Harris's support for abortion rights.
Speaking to reporters aboard his plane while returning to Rome after a 12-day tour of Asia, the Pope said, "Both are against life. The one who expels migrants and the one who kills children. Both are against life."
He added, "I am not an American and I will not vote there. But let it be clear: both of them reject migrants, and not giving migrants the ability to work or welcoming them is a sin; it is a serious matter."
Pope Francis continued, "We have to choose the lesser of two evils. Which is the lesser evil? That lady or that man? I don't know. Everyone must think and make this decision according to their conscience."
