Due to the melting of the asphalt on the Denizli - Antalya highway in the Cankurtaran and Gokpinar locations, vehicles have been moving very slowly, Anadolu Agency reports.
Pedestrians also had difficulty crossing the road. Highway crews sprayed stone dust and water on the roads.
Driver Muhittin Çinar said that his vehicle overheated and was stuck on the road.
"The asphalt melted due to the heat and other vehicles had difficulties in normal circulation", said Çinar.
