Kataeb political party leader, MP Samy Gemayel, on Monday met with French Ambassador to Lebanon, Bruno Foucher.
Gemayel regretted during the meeting "the loss of the state's decision in the interest of arms and political axes."
The meeting had also been an occasion to stress the fact that public freedoms and freedom of expression must be protected in Lebanon to preserve democracy.
On the economic level, the pair affirmed "the need to initiate the required reforms without any delay, especially in the electricity file, through the appointment of the board of directors of the EDL, and the application of the partnership law between the public and private sectors.
Gemayel reiterated that the best solution to exit the prevailing crisis, in which the country was floundering, was through the departure of the government and the formation of a neutral government of specialists.
