Member of Parliament, Chamel Roukoz, on Thursday called for the formation of a mini-government of 14 ministers to salvage Lebanon, "which could no longer afford polarizations and disruption."
"Such cabinet could be held accountable via the House of Parliament and the major blocs it represents," he added.
In an interview, the lawmaker praised the latest presidential initiative, yet he regretted that it had been put to a halt.
"If a national Unity Government were to be formed, it will face many problems due to the ongoing polemic among its members," Roukoz warned, anticipating such cabinet formula not to be productive.
Regarding the Israeli violations, the lawmaker blamed the international community, ruling out the idea of a Hezbollah response.
