Abducted Soldiers to be Released This Week

Knowledgeable sources told Annahar daily Sunday that the upcoming week will witness unprecedented, exceptional and extensive actions to be conducted by the government once Prime Minister Tamam Salam returns to Lebanon coming back from New York in order to follow up on the issue of abducted soldiers in Arsal.
It is worth mentioning that many updates occurred lately prompting the government to be always on high alert.
The sources added that the cabinet session scheduled to be held within few days will be dedicated to discuss two main items which are: first, the outcome of Salam's meetings held in New York on the sidelines of UN General Assembly, where he met a number of international and Arab leaders seeking help to release the kidnapped policemen, in addition to inciting them to aid Lebanon in its fight against terrorism.
The premier is also set to brief the ministers on the outcome of International Support Group for Lebanon meeting held on Friday in details.
The same sources told the newspaper that the second item is to exert efforts in order to unify the cabinet's stance for resuming negotiations to put term to the abducted soldiers' crisis.
The sources added that military and security leaders are likely to hold a security meeting ahead of the cabinet session to follow up on the situation in Arsal and its outskirts, so as to confirm the cabinet's next stance regarding the negotiations in the light the new political updates and the latest developments on the field as well.
