An earthquake with a magnitude of 4.7 on the Richter scale struck off the coast of the Puglia region in southern Italy, according to the National Institute of Geophysics and Volcanology.
The tremors were felt by residents of major cities such as Bari and Foggia, as well as in nearby areas.
Several aftershocks were recorded, with a magnitude of 3.8.
