The trip will include the signing of a bilateral media cooperation agreement between the two countries. The ambassador wished Morcos success in his ministerial duties.
Additionally, Morcos met with Egyptian Ambassador Alaa Moussa, who congratulated him on the government’s parliamentary confidence vote and his appointment as Minister of Information.
After the meeting, Ambassador Moussa emphasized the “numerous and promising opportunities” for media collaboration between Egypt and Lebanon. He highlighted efforts to modernize Télé Liban and explore avenues for greater cooperation between the Lebanese and Egyptian Information Ministries.

He also underscored Egypt’s recent advancements in media technology and the potential for knowledge-sharing with Lebanon, particularly given the presence of experienced Lebanese professionals in both Lebanese television networks and the Ministry of Information.
Regarding media coverage of the upcoming Arab Summit, Moussa confirmed that all Arab and international television networks would have open access to cover the event, including Télé Liban, provided they submit a formal request.
Moussa also stressed the growing role of technology and artificial intelligence in news coverage, particularly in enabling real-time reporting without the need for physical presence.
Minister Morcos praised Ambassador Moussa as “a great friend of Lebanon,”known for his commitment to fostering bilateral cooperation.
Moreover, Morcos noted that discussions included ways to support Lebanon’s media sector, particularly in alleviating financial burdens incurred from previous media collaborations. The ambassador expressed Egypt’s full willingness to assist, reinforcing the strong ties between the two nations.
Morcos further affirmed Lebanon’s commitment to expanding media cooperation with Egypt and the broader Arab world, particularly in the context of the upcoming Arab Summit, which could serve as a catalyst for deeper regional partnerships.
