President Joseph Aoun leads a series of meetings

President Joseph Aoun met with Haitham Mattar, President of InterContinental Hotels Group for India, the Middle East, and Africa, who briefed him on the company's plans to develop its hotels in Lebanon amid renewed stability following the presidential election.
For his part, President Aoun emphasized the importance of the government's planned reforms to stimulate economic growth.
The President also met with the Indonesian Ambassador to Lebanon, Hajriyanto Y. Thohari, with whom he discussed bilateral relations.
The President expressed gratitude for Indonesia’s efforts, particularly its participation in the UNIFIL peacekeeping force.
The meeting took place as part of the ambassador’s farewell visit marking the end of his diplomatic mission in Beirut.
During a meeting with a delegation from the Lebanese Expatriate Council, President Aoun stressed that "the Lebanese diaspora is not just an added value to Lebanon but a multiplied one. Without Lebanese expatriates, Lebanon would not have been able to endure."
The President also highlighted the need for collective efforts, including from expatriates, to combat and eradicate the culture of corruption.
