Bou Habib, French Ambassador discuss ceasefire efforts and UN Resolution 1701

Caretaker Minister of Foreign Affairs and Emigrants Abdallah Bou Habib met with French Ambassador to Lebanon, Hervé Magro, with whom he discussed ongoing efforts, including French initiatives, aimed at securing a ceasefire, ending Israeli aggression, and implementing UN Security Council Resolution 1701.
During the meeting, Bou Habib emphasized, "Any proposal to resolve the conflict must respect Lebanon’s sovereignty, territorial integrity, and internationally recognized borders. The Lebanese government remains committed to fully and equitably implementing Resolution 1701 in all its provisions."
Separately, Bou Habib also received a delegation of honorary consuls, including the Dean of the Honorary Consular Corps and Consul General of Singapore, Joseph Habis; Honorary Consul of South Africa, Wajih Bezri; and Honorary Consul of Finland, Zafer Chaoui.
Discussions focused on strengthening diplomatic collaboration and addressing Lebanon's pressing challenges.
