Brazilian medical and food supplies aid to Lebanon

The Brazilian Embassy in Lebanon announced in a statement that: "Since the beginning of October until November 13, the Brazilian Government and the Lebanese diaspora in Brazil will have donated close 21 tons of medicines, including cancer treatment pills, and hospital supplies. The Brazilian people have also donated almost 40 tons of food supplies and 6.5 thousand blankets.
In total, 61 tons of donations were destined from Brazil to Lebanon, in 11 flights.
The donations were gathered from the Brazilian Ministry of Health and from the "Unidos para o Líbano" (UpL) initiative, with the support of the General Consulate of Lebanon in Rio de Janeiro.
The beneficiaries were the Lebanese Ministry of Health, the Children’s Cancer Center of Lebanon, the High Relief Committee, the Lebanese Caritas and Dar el Fatwa."
