In a wave of intensified overnight attacks, Israeli enemy warplanes launched a series of airstrikes across southern Lebanese towns, causing significant destruction and civilian casualties.
Shortly before 9:00 pm, an air raid struck the town of Deir Antar in the Bint Jbeil district. The assault forms part of an escalated campaign affecting villages in both Tyre and Bint Jbeil districts, with airstrikes persisting into the early hours.
In Maaroub, a direct strike leveled a building, leaving injuries and damage in its wake. Civil Defense and medical teams continue to search for missing persons among the rubble, working throughout the morning.
Southern Lebanon’s Bint Jbeil also sustained heavy damage when a popular local market was bombarded, causing extensive destruction to properties and shops. The airstrike was accompanied by artillery shelling targeting the city’s outskirts, as well as areas near the towns of Maroun and Yaroun.
In Hariss, an Israeli drone strike on a motorcycle resulted in one fatality. Shortly afterward, a local mosque was hit, reducing the structure to ruins.
After midnight, a drone targeted residents in the southern town of Tayri, injuring several people who were later transported to the Lebanese-Italian Hospital in Tyre for treatment.
In Deirkifa, another airstrike led to two deaths and multiple injuries. Warplanes also bombarded additional towns, including Bazouriyeh, Srifa, Barish, Kara, and Yater, escalating the impact across the region.
Israeli forces attempted a ground infiltration in the vicinity of Rmeish near “Khanouq al-Kasara,” but were repelled by resistance forces. Intense clashes persisted until dawn, eventually forcing Israeli troops to retreat with reported casualties.
“The Islamic Resistance carried out over fifty offensive and defensive operations from late last night into this morning, inflicting losses in personnel and equipment upon the Israeli enemy forces," a resistance source reported.
Civil Defense teams have been engaged in clearing debris and rubble since the early hours across villages such as Maaroub, Qlayleh, and Abbassieh, where heavy shelling caused blockages and damage to roads.
Throughout the night and into the morning, Israeli reconnaissance, drone, and fighter aircraft maintained heavy presence over Tyre and Bint Jbeil districts, releasing flare bombs over areas in the western and central sectors. At dawn, gunfire from Israeli forces targeted woodland areas near the international border.
Meanwhile, airstrikes were reported at the outskirts of the village of Kharayeb in Zahrani, and around midnight, Israeli jets bombarded the region between Qossaybeh and Sir al-Gharbiyeh in Nabatieh.
