Pope Francis called for prayers for martyred Ukraine and for Palestine, Israel, Lebanon, Myanmar, South Sudan, and for all peoples suffering from war.
He said: "War is always a defeat, always! War is also ignoble, for it is the triumph of lies and falsehood."
