Berri urges support for displaced people, discusses country’s security

Parliament Speaker Nabih Berri followed up on the situation of displaced people, conducting several calls to assess their conditions and emphasizing the “urgent need to secure all essential supplies and resources.”
Berri also spoke with Tyre’s Mayor, Engineer Hassan Dbouk, to review the city’s security following recent Israeli threats to bomb several neighborhoods.
In related activities, Berri welcomed MP Farid El Khazen at the Second Presidency in Ain El-Tineh. The pair discussed the country’s general conditions, recent political and field developments, the issue of displaced persons, and legislative matters.
After the meeting, El Khazen commended Berri’s “efforts with regional and international actors to achieve a ceasefire,” highlighting “the importance of national unity in facing current challenges and safeguarding Lebanon’s security and sovereignty.”
El Khazen conveyed Berri’s appreciation for the “national solidarity shown toward displaced persons in host communities.”
